Start Slow, or Push Your Limits

Tru Niagen 100mg serves two needs. If you’re new to Tru Niagen, this is an introductory serving size that allows you to ease into using the product and see how it works for you. If you’re already reaping the benefits of taking Tru Niagen, 100mg capsules are a great way to optimize your NAD-boosting regimen and stack little by little to see if anything changes by taking more than your usual serving. The more you take, the more pronounced of a boost in your NAD+ levels, and taking more over time means you’ll sustain higher NAD+ levels, too.

Why Should You Take More Tru Niagen?

Reason #1: Your Body Needs Extra NAD+ in Times of Stress

In times of physiological stress—such as lack of sleep, excess sun exposure, overeating/drinking—your body needs more NAD+ to perform the same functions that might require less under more ideal circumstances. And did you know that NAD+ levels can drop by up to 80% when you’re dealing with immune health challenges? That’s why it can be a good idea to take more on days when you’re feeling depleted.

Reason #2: Studies Show Positive Results from Extra Niagen

Taking more Tru Niagen daily can increase your NAD+ levels more substantially and more quickly. So even if you’re not facing major physiological stressors, you can still benefit from taking extra Niagen. Try adding additional 100mg capsules and see how you feel. It’s safe to consume up to 2,000mg per day.

As with any supplement or new health routine, your experiences will vary depending on your age, diet, exercise, and sleep habits. Tru Niagen® will start increasing NAD levels shortly after you take it and will continue to maintain those elevated NAD levels with regular supplementation. It may take some time to feel the benefits of increased NAD (promoting cellular repair, increasing cellular energy, etc.), but ultimately Tru Niagen® is helping your cells remain energized and resilient in the face of everyday stresses.*

The B3 vitamins have one thing in common: they are all building blocks cells can use to make more NAD. Nicotinic acid, nicotinamide, and nicotinamide riboside can all be turned into NAD, but cells use different recipes that require different amounts of energy and numbers of steps to make NAD out of each B3. Some B3s also come with some unwelcome side effects: nicotinic acid can cause an uncomfortable flushing response while nicotinamide can inhibit the activity of cellular health-promoting sirtuins.

We’ve written an entire post about the differences between NR and the other B3 vitamins, you can read it here.

Tru Niagen® increases levels of a key cellular resource known as NAD. Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (or NAD) is found in every living cell and is essential to a healthy cellular metabolism. While NAD is produced during energy generation, it’s also constantly being consumed. We use NAD whenever we eat, drink, sleep, or breathe. Studies also show our NAD levels decline as we age by as much as 50% between the ages of 40–60. Because NAD is essential to energy generation, the less we have of it, the harder it is for our cells to stay healthy as we age.

In 2004, Dr. Charles Brenner discovered that a unique form of vitamin B3 (nicotinamide riboside, or NR) was also an NAD precursor. Since then, multiple human clinical trials have shown NR safely and effectively increases NAD.

Tru Niagen® contains the patented and only known FDA-safety notified form of nicotinamide riboside, delivered straight to your door.
